Sue McKinnon, Church Council Chair

Sue’s very ecumenical journey has brought her back around to the Uniting Church where she started.

She is committed to creating an inclusive, peaceful and just society by following the the model of radical love embodied in Jesus.

Being part of a community of faith in her local area is an important part of her life.

Rev Paul Bartlett, Minister

The Rev Paul Bartlett, is our Minister who serves the church and community on a part time basis,

A Meteorologist by initial training, Paul has served the Uniting Church in a variety of ways over the past 38 years: Twenty five years in parish ministry and then a total of thirteen years working for Frontier Services, the inland work of the Uniting Church and most recently with UnitingWorld, the international church partnerships agency of the Uniting Church. In addition Paul has served for twenty years as a NSW Police Chaplain.

Married with three children and five grandchildren, he has been a keen NRL Dragons supporter since his move, with work, to NSW in the mid 1970’s.

He is passionate about the church being a welcoming, compassionate and visible presence in its local community and a safe place for all who gather for worship.

Paul will be available for Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals and Pastoral care needs and can be contacted on 0439 458 204.

Michael Bleasdale, Community Engagement Officer

Michael has come to Engadine Uniting Church after working for more than 35 years in the community sector, principally advocating for the rights of older people and people with disability. He has headed up national peak organisations, such as Home Modifications Australia and People with Disability Australia, and served on the boards of management of the Older Persons Advocacy Network and the Australian Council of Social Service. He started his working life in Australia with UnitingCare where he ran a disability support service for fifteen years, and since that time has also worked at the Paddington Uniting Church. Michael also works part-time as the Executive Officer of Rights & Inclusion Australia.
